Hello! 🙂

I wondered what I should write for my first entry. In the end, I decided to post something I wrote in my own blog, when I first started volunteering last year – I think it best captures my original enthusiasm and love for the children – which I hope I still have and will always have with me.

Each child is special, it sounds like a cliche, but it is really true. It’s just that a child’s love is easy to buy. And i don’t mean ‘buy’ in a materialistic sense, because sometimes you don’t even need to have money. I think that’s the best part of being a child, you so easily love and you so easily are loved in return – even if you forget love rather quickly too.

“Look!” Fabian said proudly and waved his small blue paper crane at me.

“It’s very pretty.”

“My parents made it and gave to me.” Fabian beamed and made a flying motion with it. “Do you know how to?”

I confessed my lack of origami skills, I had forgotten them all.

“Do you know how to make a paper plane?”

I laughed. “No.”

Alfred laughed, “jie, it’s very easy. You fold like this, this, this, this” accompanied by lots of gesticulations in the air.

And that little paper plane he made out of air, flew right back into my childhood.

Welcome to the CSL blog:)

I’m just tinkling with the blog now… haven’t got used to wordpress yet, so I hope you don’t find the blog too ugly or anything. I suggested the address to be or something like that but oh well, I guess this is not too bad too. Give me some feedback on what you think needs to be added and I’ll fix this thing up pronto.

We’ll be updating soon with more posts but till then, I’ll leave you with some photos from my humble phone.
